After living in Providence for the past 9.5 years, I finally visited Seaplane Diner last weekend. Slightly kicking myself that I slept on this diner for so long! I finally came because someone on Reddit insisted this was the best diner in the state. I totally agree with this person. You walk in and wait to be seated (unless you grab a table at the counter, those are up for grabs). There are about a dozen to 15 booths aligned next to the window and decorations galore. One of my favorite features is the family photos displayed in the front. This shows me the diner cared for the families of staff that work for them (a great sign!). I had the Seaplane Breakfast, a short stack of pancakes, and linguica. All cooked very well, if not a little salty (but that's why the ice water is so refreshing!). Coffee is refilled often and food comes out swiftly. Can't wait to visit again!

Friendly atmosphere. Felt like it was family run. I left my bag there and they made sure it was safe until I got back. Breakfast was excellent.

I met up with some friends who come here weekly for breakfast and it's a traditional diner with laid back vibes and good food. They have booths and counter seating available and friendly staff. They serve breakfast all day and also have lunch items available. They have a small parking lot in back and there is street parking available too.

Returned after a year for breakfast as we were in the area. A quintessential dinner still picturesque and unchanged. The inside remains original. Back in time and design. A pleasant place. Although a weekday it was full of young and older people. We ordered hearty meals -various eggs, fries and a side order of pancakes. And coffees. The helpings were large and we took some of the food home. Our server, Stephanie, was cheerfully attentive. The bill was very reasonable, under $20 per person. The four stars are for informal eating houses within this category. We will return sooner than later.

Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing decor!! It is a simple and small dinner but definitely better than a lot of restaurants in Boston. Even for a less than $10 pasta, the sauce was very fresh and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I loved their burger as well. The bathroom is very clean. The service is always beyond friendly and fast!! The lady remembered our order from previous time. It is my favorite dinner in New England, and I will always, always, always go back!!

not much to say really.... great food great service, this place is an ICON for classic diner food. I did see a sign that on weekends (thur-fri-sat) they will be open at night; I can only imagine how busy they will be.

Huge breakfast portions that's affordable and tasty! They give generous and balanced portions of carbs and proteins. What I love is that none of the dishes were greasy or too heavy. Everything was clean and cooked well. We had a big party and our server got our order right down to the T! Overall, the photos speak for themselves. The food is great and the service is welcoming.

Perfectly warm, fluffy, tasty pancakes. The prices here are so affordable. I got 3 buttermilk pancakes for $8.30 (w/ tax). They were pretty large and had a good thickness. Friendly staff and quick. My pancakes were ready in 4 minutes after ordering.

Diner food done right. The location may seem a bit odd but don't let that discourage you because I promise the food is worth it! There is a small parking lot and street parking available. The wait staff is so very friendly, classic older waitresses who make you feel right at home. The diner coffee flows like water and there is a general contented clank of forks on plates. The vintage chrome and cozy booth seating are all part of the charm. It's a very good way to start your morning. We all got variations on the Hungry Man which came with eggs, breakfast meat of your choice, home fries, toast, and pancakes. Everything was so good! The pancakes were delicious, I could not stop eating it.
